Creating visuals — templates, Canva, stock photos & music

In-app canvas creator (all plans)

Open the Composer, write your post, then click Create visual below the editor. You'll see 11 pre-built templates (quote cards, product highlights, announcements, and more). Click any template to customise the text, colours, and layout.

  • Image export (PNG) — available on all plans. Click Export to add the design to your post as a still image.
  • Video with music (MP4) — available on Starter and above. Select a music track from the built-in library, then click Export. Postlore combines your image with the audio into a 30-second MP4 optimised for social feeds.

Use the PNG / MP4 toggle next to the Create visual button to choose your export format before exporting.

Canva (built-in, all plans)

Click the Canva button in the Composer toolbar. If you haven't connected Canva before, a small OAuth window will open — authorise Postlore once and it remembers you.

After authorising, Canva opens in a new tab with a blank design. Edit it, then use Canva's Share → Publish to third-party flow to send it back to Postlore. Your design appears automatically in the media tray.

  • Multi-page Canva designs are imported as multiple images — one per page.
  • Use the PNG / MP4 toggle in the Composer to choose whether Canva exports a still image or a video.

Stock photos — Unsplash (all plans)

Click Stock in the Composer toolbar to open the Unsplash search panel. Type any keyword to search millions of free, high-quality photos. Click a photo to add it directly to your post — no download required.

Postlore also suggests search terms based on your post content and your top-performing hashtags, so you rarely need to type from scratch.

All photos are free to use under the Unsplash licence. Attribution to the photographer is displayed in the picker.

Music library (Starter and above)

Postlore includes a curated library of royalty-free tracks, so they're safe to use without copyright claim risk on your videos. Open the canvas creator, click the music note icon to browse by mood or genre, preview tracks, and select one. The track is trimmed to match your video length on export.

Tips

  • For TikTok and Instagram Reels, export as MP4 with a music track — video posts consistently outperform stills.
  • The canvas creator sizes designs at 1:1 (square) by default — ideal for Instagram feed, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • You can mix sources: use an Unsplash photo as the base, export from the canvas creator, or import from Canva — all within one post.
